Celebrated Lantern Festival (Mid-Autumn Festival) on 14 Sep,
together with Db's 16th birthday.
Celebrated an early birthday for Oa on 12 Oct with family (maternal),
and on actual day with pizza.
September/October also saw P6 & S4 exams (Sm, Sn & Fa).
This year missed Halloween :(

The whole gang (my side of the family) sans Bro (and family2) and BIL1 went exploring at GBTB on Grandma K's birthday. Enjoyable, hope to go back to finish exploring the two domes.

HARI RAYA PUASA/NATIONAL DAY WEEKEND GETAWAY

Embarked on our first family drive-in to Malaysia for a weekend stay at Pulai Desaru Beach Resort & Spa. Started our journey on Saturday at about 10:45am, after crossing the causeway and several wrong turns, we were on our way to our first stop, a short shopping trip to KSL City. We had lunch there, bought a few stuff and we were back on the road to Desaru. The drive was uneventful and we didn't make any other stops, making our destination about 3:30pm, just in time for checking in. The rooms assigned were spacious, one room with twin beds and the other came with a king and a single, just nice for our family of five. Donning our swimming costumes, we made our way to the beach. The beach was clean and after having our fun we made our way to the swimming pool after rinsing off all the sand. After that it was back to the rooms. The kids got to play around in the bath tub (a rare opportunity) as they showered. Dinner was at the Palm Brasserie, food was okay. There wasn't much to browse at the souvenir shop but hubby and girls bought T-shirts each and the youngest bought ice-cream. We missed out on the firefly excursion as we were not keen going when the Hungry Ghost Festival just started and what's more it had rained that afternoon (muddy). There was nothing else much to do so it was off to bed. The next morning we woke up to rain. After washing up, we made breakfast at the same restaurant where we had dinner, free buffet breakfast for two which came with the rooms (four coupons and youngest get to eat for free). The rain prevented us from roaming any further so we decided to pack up and check out early at about 10:00am (normal check out 12:00pm). So off we go on our journey back but we made another shopping stop at AEON, had lunch at a Japanese restaurant after which we continued our journey back. Caught in a slow moving traffic jam, we manage to reach Home Sweet Home at about 5:00pm.
